Paynter sits on the board of directors of Anchor House, a United Methodist operated residential drug treatment program for women and men located in Brooklyn, NY. She also serves as the chair of the Long Island East District Board of Trustees. Rev. Paynter also trained as a clinical pastoral counselor at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Far Rockaway NY.
